Care Through Design

I led the design of Telstra Health's virtual care: telehealth consultations, the HealthNow patient app, and the systems that tied them together. Healthcare sets a hard bar. You have to move fast enough to keep shipping and stay careful enough to be clinically safe, so we ran design sprints with real patients and clinicians, from major hospitals to remote health centres.

Then the pandemic hit. Remote care stopped being a nice-to-have; for a lot of people it became the only way to see a doctor. The platforms we'd been building suddenly carried the load.
