Spades Audio
My own audio control app — per-app volume, EQ, and routing on macOS
Spades Audio is the app I built because macOS has never had per-app audio control. It lets you set individual volume levels for each app, switch output devices per app, apply a 10-band EQ, and mute anything independently without touching the system volume. It started from my own frustration — having a video call at full volume while trying to keep background music quiet meant constant manual adjustment.
The app runs in the menu bar and gets out of the way. I use it every day without thinking about it, which is the goal. Building it taught me more about CoreAudio than I ever expected to need to know.
